Tofu Rice Bowl

A healthy rice bowl made with Mori-Nu Super Soft Tofu.
The savory ankake sauce pairs perfectly with our fluffy, ultra‑soft Super Soft Tofu and brings out the tofu’s natural flavor.

Tofu Rice Bowl

Ingredients for 3 portions

・1 package (307g) Mori-Nu Silken Tofu Super Soft
・100ml water
・15ml soy sauce
・10ml sake
・2.5g sugar
・15g potato starch slurry(mix 5g potato starch with 10ml water)
・cooked rice, as needed
・ginger, as needed
・green onion(5mm slices), as needed


Instructions

  1. Place the unopened package of Super Soft Tofu in hot water and heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. n a different pot, combine water, soy sauce, sake, and sugar and warm over medium heat.
  3. Gradually add the potato starch slurry to the mixture from Step 2 while stirring until the sauce thickens, then remove from heat.
  4. Place rice in a bowl and carefully spoon the tofu from Step 1 on top.
  5. Pour the sauce from Step 3 over the rice bowl from Step 4, then garnish with freshly grated ginger.
